The regular season has wrapped up and it is time to congratulate the teams and the Best Players for this season:
Congratulations to Brooklyn Zoo 1 as winner of the Champions Division and to Game Over as the runner-up!
In the Honors Division, the title goes to the Island Boys! They finished in a three-way tie with the Fire Darters and the New Thargs for first place, but get to take home the trophy by having the advantage in the tie-breaker of most legs won in regular season play (Island Boys 32, Fire Darters 27, New Thargs 26).
The Best Player award also came down to the wire in both divisions!
In the first division, five players won 8 legs of their singles matches, so a first attempt was made to break the tie by looking at the leg winning percentage. This still left us with 2 players that had both won 89% of their legs. So, ultimately, it came down to the scoring average. And the winner of Best Player in the Champions Division is:
- Gregory Mébille (Brooklyn Zoo 1)
In the Honors Division, congratulations go out to:
- Thomas McDonough (New Thargs)
The winners of the overall individual achievements (High Scores, Fastest Finish, Highest Check) will be announced after the Team Knock-Out Finals have been played!
All trophies and prizes will be handed out at our Finals Night taking place on May 6th at Oscar’s Diner starting at 19h00! We will also have a Singles Tournament that evening.
